About Us

Families with Children –Arizona Chapter (FCC-AZ) was started in 1996. Since that time, the organization has grown to over 200 member families and is a completely volunteer-run group. We are a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, serving central Arizona. The majority of the families live in the greater Phoenix area.

FCC-AZ is an all-volunteer organization. All of FCC-AZ events, programs and ideas come from you and your fellow adoptive parents and kids. Members of the Board are volunteers from our community. There is no paid staff or office. WE make FCC-AZ happen. Want to get more involved? We'll get you connected and show you how! Email info@fccaz.org

FCC-AZ sponsors two major activities each year including a Chinese New Year celebration and a Fall Autumn Moon festival.  Periodically we will host a spring, summer and/or winter activity.

FCC-AZ members are eligible to participate in our chapter's Yahoo Group and will receive a group invite upon joining.

There are three Arizona FCC organizations:

  • FCC - AZ serving Central Arizona (including the greater Phoenix area cities)
  • Southern Arizona FCC  (including Tucson)
  • Northern Arizona FCC  (including Flagstaff)

The Families with Children from China – Arizona chapter operates under its Bylaws and Articles of Incorporation. We are registered with the Arizona Corporation Commission. We have received 501(c)3 status from the IRS as a non-profit organization.

A Board of Directors runs the organization. The current board elects new members to the Board. Each Board member is responsible for some aspect of the organization, such as running a social activity. One term on the Board is two years. The Board members always welcome the opportunity to talk to members about how they can participate. For more information, contact info@fccaz.org
